Dr. Jarosław Jura is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management at Lazarski University. He conducts research focused on the role of China in the international context. His research interests include the impact of the Belt and Road Initiative on developing countries, spillover effects of Chinese foreign investments in Africa, as well as the dynamics of multilateralism and normative aspects of China's foreign policy. These projects, supported by the National Science Center, focus on examining China's influence on the global economy and politics, using interdisciplinary methods of analysis. His articles published in prestigious scientific journals such as the Journal of Contemporary China and the International Journal of Social Research Methodology focus on the empirical analysis of China's perception in Africa, on cross-cultural relations between Chinese and Africans, and on the Chinese "modus operandi" in international relations and their impact on Sino-African relations in the political, economic and social context.
Economist, with a postdoctoral degree from Poznań University of Economics and a PhD from University of Łódź. She has been a scholarship holder and intern at European universities, including the London School of Economics, Univerista di Padova, Erasmus University and the University of Glasgow. Coordinator and expert of numerous interdisciplinary research projects, including projects financed by the National Science Centre (NCN), the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR), the National Bank of Poland (NBP) and the EU Framework Programmes for scientific research and innovation. She has knowledge and skills in the field of broadly understood (quantitative and qualitative) research methods used to analyse social phenomena and design public policies. She was a consultant to the European Commission Representation in Poland in the area of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). Her current research interests include research on social perception, spatial resilience and democratisation of science. Since 2023, she has been an Ambassador for The European Citizen Science Association (ECS).
Dr. Olha Zadorozhna is an economist and data scientist, she holds a Ph.D. from Bocconi University in Italy and is currently an assistant professor at Kozminski University. Her main areas of research expertise are governance, institutions, and resilience. Currently, she is working on several projects investigating sanctions, economic and social resilience to crises (e.g. the Russian war on Ukraine), and impact of institutional settings on firms. Previously, she has been studying the resilience of financial markets as well as their reaction to armed conflicts and terrorism. She has been also studying the governance of the land market in Ukraine publishing on topics connected to clientelism and security of property rights for land. Olha is a coordinator and expert of numerous scientific projects financed by the National Centre for Research and Development, the European Commission and the EU Framework Programmes, including Horizon.
Igor Zachariasz, PhD in Law, professor at the University of Economics in Krakow, attorney. Academically interested in issues of legal theory, constitutional and administrative law, administrative science and local government law. Deputy editor-in-chief of the monthly scientific journal "Samorząd Terytorialny", member of the Municipal Urban and Architectural Commission at the President of the Capital City of Warsaw and the Legal and Urban Planning Team operating at the Committee for Spatial Development of the Country of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Previously, he worked in the Union of Polish Metropolises, a nationwide representation of central cities of Polish metropolises, represented in the Joint Government and Local Government Commission.
